It was a glorious sunny afternoon on Saturday at Sparrows Den and it was perfect for running rugby.
The game started with both sides fairly even and defences on top but after 10 minutes with our attack going nowhere Alex Warsop dropped a goal to give us a 3-0 lead. This marked the first score recorded on our new scoreboard in a first team game.
Soon afterwards Peter Brooks scored a try wide out which was first try recorded on the new scoreboard in first team game. 8-0
Within 5minutes second row Josh Fogarty just off the bench scored a try wide out to bring try the score to 13-0. Foggy does not score many tries normally.
This was quickly followed by a try under the posts by full back Sam Edwards which Alex converted 20-0.
On 35 minutes Pat Reffell burst down the centre of the pitch and scored under the posts which Alex converted to make it 27-0 and the try bonus point.
It was not over for the half as Harry Ivings scored a try to give us a 32-0 half time lead.
Folkestone started the second half better than us and within a minute showed how dangerous they could be by scoring a try wide out through wing Dan Hillier to make it 32-5.
Folkestone then retained possession well for the next 10 minutes and it culminated with another try for wing Dan Hillier and Callum Guy kicked a good conversion 32-12.
Beccs came back strongly and Foggy scored another try wide out to extend our lead 37-12.
Alex Warsop made a weaving run into the Folkestone 22 and score a try but again failed to convert it 42-12.

Not to be outdone by Foggy full back Sam Edwards scored his second try near the posts which Alex converted 56-12.
No 8 Ryan Souter then scored our last try wide out to make the score 61-12.
